How You Can Help - Volunteer
Volunteers get to socialize with the animals. This is fun
for the volunteer, and also helps in the animal's training.
The more humans they can have positive experiences with, the
more secure and confident they are.
We match what people "like to do" with things that
we "need to do" to keep the operation running smoothly.
Most people enjoy petting and grooming the animals. They also
enjoy leading them and taking them through the obstacle courses
we set up. When someone comes out to the facility we try to
make sure they get to do some of these things each time they
come. We also ask them to spend some of their volunteer time
doing the "chores" such as cleaning corrals, sweeping,
cleaning tack and minor maintenance tasks.
